Lottery Winners Stoires

Check out this fun and interesting blog that tells the stories of some of the big lottery winners. Some are happy stories and others are just plain sad. Here is a sample from Lottery Winners blog.

William Rivenburgh, for example. He won the lottery, yet he didn't have enough money to post bail on drug charges.

It all started for William Rivenburgh when he won $1 million on an instant scratch lotto ticket on October 25, 2009. That was just a couple of years after coming home from a tour-of-duty in Iraq. He had been working as a security guard and then he won the lottery. Life was looking good!

When he won the lottery, William Rivenburgh said that it was not enough money to retire on. However, the money would remove the financial pressure from his life. He said that he would use the money for home repairs, bill payments, and put the rest into safe investments.

Fast forward a few years - January 2009. William Rivenburgh is broke. The money is gone. So much for his plans about being safe with his money. He bought a house and gave away money to relatives. Perhaps he blew a lot of it on drugs too - That's a possibility because William has been charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. He didn't even have enough money to post bail. He has offered a plea to do two years in jail, but he could get more than that.

The drug charges stem from a $50 sale of cocaine that he was busted on. That's what it came down to for a man that won $1 million in the lottery - a $50 drug deal, and now he's headed for jail.
